The Greenwich Runners beginners sessions help you to learn to run 0 – 5k in six weeks with the eighth week being a 5k run.
This group is for those who have always wanted to run but just don’t know how, recovering from an injury or if you have just had a baby and want to slowly get your fitness back. No experience is required. Over the seven weeks we will teach you correct running techniques, work on endurance (each week increasing the amount of time you run) and strengthen all those key muscles, especially the core muscles. The sessions are taken by Ellie Brown. Carly O’Hara & Jannet Ricketts, England Athletics coaches.
These sessions are fun and friendly and the emphasis is on support and comaraderie.
Saturday 9.30am – 10.30am.
Our next 8 week course will begin in September.
During the Summer, new runners are welcome to join us at our 9.30am running session – £8.
